Dora Márquez is a 7-year old girl and a recurring character on Go, Diego, Go! and the protagonist of Dora the Explorer. She is the youngest girlfriend of Diego, youngest cousin of Alicia, and Daisy.
Dora is a born explorer, always eager for the next adventure. Though she's only 7, she serves as something of a big sister to her best friend, Boots, and to the viewer as well. With her pride in being bilingual, her respect for her elders, her growing understanding of her culture and heritage, and her love for storytelling and music, Dora embodies the Latina spirit.

In Dora the Explorer (seasons 1-6) and Go, Diego, Go!, Dora has peach-orange skin, short brown hair, as well as brown eyes. She casually wears a pink t-shirt, orange shorts, purple backpack, frilly yellow socks, white Velcro sneakers with a light pink trim underneath (white and pink during seasons 7-8). She wears a yellow beaded bracelet on her right wrist with a blue flower in the center.

She is the daughter of Elena and Cole, and she is Guillermo and Isabella's older sister. She is also Diego's girlfriend, and Alicia, and Daisy's cousin, which makes her the niece of either Sabrina or Nico.
