On March 16, 2004, Nickelodeon announced in a press release that Go, Diego, Go! an animated preschool series that was centered on Dora's cousin, Diego, would premiere on television in 2005 . The network ordered 20 episodes that began airing on September 6, 2005, and concluded on October 15, 2007. Before the series premiered on September 6, 2005, the series' roll-out began over a month before the premiere, with Video-on-Demand Sneak Peeks on Nick on Demand, episode streams on NickJr.com and wireless content on Verizon, and continued with On-Air spots and Sneak Peek episodes on Noggin leading up to the series launch.
