On December 20, 2006, Nickelodeon announced that they greenlit a third season for Go, Diego, Go! and ordered 20 new episodes, including two hour-long specials. The third season began airing on March 21, 2008, and concluded on July 13, 2013. One episode was left unaired on the main Nickelodeon network, thus it premiered on the Nick Jr. network in 2013.
